Arlington, TX (Aug. 21, 2025) – The Dallas Wings return home to College Park Center to begin a three-game homestand as the Wings host the Seattle Storm on Friday. Tipoff on ION is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT, with Ron Thulin and Fran Harris on the call and Tiffany Bias-Patmon reporting. The Wings’ annual “Celebrate Arlington” game presented by Arlington CVB will include a business showcase on the concourse, recognitions of local community leaders and a digital scavenger hunt.

The Wings will look to level the season series with the Storm after winning the most recent meeting, 87-63, in Seattle on July 22. The Storm took the first two showdowns of the season – 79-71 in Dallas on May 19, and 83-77 in Seattle on June 3. Luisa Geiselsöder had 13 points on 3-5 shooting from three in that July 22 win.

Back With A Bang … After missing 18 games recovering from a knee injury, third-year forward Maddy Siegrist returned to the lineup on Aug. 5 and has been on fire ever since. Over the last seven games, Siegrist has averaged 15.7 points per game, shooting over 58-percent from the field. Siegrist set a career high with 23 points against the Aces on Sunday. Prior to her injury, Siegrist was averaging 9.4 points per game while shooting .433 from the field.
Wings Sign Amy Okonkwo … The Dallas Wings signed 6-2 forward Amy Okonkwo to a seven-day hardship contract, the team announced on Thursday. The two-time FIBA AfroBasket MVP (2023, 2025) will be available for Friday’s game against the Seattle Storm. Okonkwo is from Fontana, Calif., and played collegiately at the University of Southern California (2014-2015) and nearby Fort Worth’s Texas Christian University (TCU) (2016-2019), where she earned Big 12 Sixth Player of the Year honors in 2018. Okonkwo is also a two-time Olympian, playing with the Nigerian women’s national team in the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Olympics. Okonkwo played professionally for Bourges in France during the 2024-25 season, averaging 14.2 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting nearly 48 percent from three.
