Audition Attire
Please follow the guidelines below for your attire:
Female Identifying Performers:
- Two-piece outfit (form-fitting dance top or cropped tank) with leggings/joggers and athletic shoes
- Hair styled down with full-performance makeup
- Minimal jewelry and large tattoos covered
Male Identifying Performers:
- Athletic attire and shoes
- Styled hair
- Minimal jewelry and large tattoos covered
Audition Process Overview
The audition process includes the following segments:
- Public Speaking:
You will have the opportunity to answer questions from our judging panel throughout the day, especially during group showcases. This is your chance to share more about your journey and passion for dance. - Routine Instruction:
You will be taught two separate routines. The first one will be a sideline combo and the second one will be a hip-hop routine, which is the primary performance style of our team. The routines will be showcased to our judging panel in small group formats. - Freestyle Showcase:
There will be a freestyle portion where you can demonstrate your full dance range, including any tricks, specialty skills, tumbling, or other performance styles. Show us what you’ve got—feel free to highlight your strongest skills but don’t feel pressured to perform anything you haven’t fully mastered.
Things to Know
- Training Camp: All candidates must be present for the start of Training Camp on March TBD. Cuts will be made through the camp process until the final team of 14-16 performers is selected on March TBD. Various performance materials will be taught and interviews will be held during training camp.
- Season Participation: The Dallas Wings season begins on May TBA and includes 25 home games. Playoff games may also be required. To be considered for the Flight Crew, you must be present for the majority of the season.
- Rehearsals: Flight Crew will rehearse twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00-10:00 PM) starting April TBD, though dates may shift based on games and appearances.
- Transportation: Members must have reliable transportation to all rehearsals, appearances, and games.
- Compensation: This is a paid position for a professional entertainment team, with compensation for rehearsals, appearances, and games.
