The Dallas Wings (3-7) were defeated 83-65 by the Seattle Storm Friday night.

Bella Alarie and Tyasha Harris received the first starting nods of their young WNBA careers, becoming the first rookie duo to start a game for the Wings since September 14, 2013. Coincidentally, that game was also against the Seattle Storm.

Arike Ogunbowale continued her scoring streak tonight with 22 total points. She has now put together 21 straight games of scoring 15 points or more dating back to August 10 of 2019. It was also the 24th 20-point game of her career, giving her the most 20-point games of any active player since the start of the 2019 season. The Notre Dame product has six games of 20 or more already this season.

Ogunbowale wasn’t the only Notre Dame alumna to mark a record for the Wings tonight, Marina Mabrey made a career-high five field goals to tally 13 points, one shy of tying her career-high output. She also contributed four steals, assists and rebounds while playing a career-most 31 minutes.

The Wings face Phoenix next on Sunday, August 16 at 12 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
