Game Preview: Dallas Wings vs. Los Angeles Sparks — August 15

Arlington, TX (Aug. 14, 2025) – The Dallas Wings return home to host the Los Angeles Sparks Friday night at College Park Center. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT, with the game airing regionally on ION. Ron Thulin and Fran Harris will have the call, with Tiffany Bias-Patmon reporting.

 

Friday’s contest is the Wings annual Rock The Pink game presented by Baylor Scott & White Health, highlighting breast cancer awareness. The first 4,000 fans will receive pink bandanas. Fans will have the opportunity to fill out “I Fight For” cards which will be displayed during the contest. Other in-game elements include an on-court survivors parade and a feature video for the second annual Tiffany Jackson Memorial Scholarship, named in honor of the late WNBA star who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2022.

 

The Wings (9-24) scored an 81-80 win at the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night with Maddy Siegrist matching her career high with 22 points and Li Yueru tacking on a career-best 20 points. On the same night, the Sparks (15-17) fell at home to the New York Liberty, 105-97. Kelsey Plum had a team-high 26 points.

 

Dallas and LA last met on June 6 with the Sparks scoring a 93-79 win in Texas. Four Wings scored in double figures that game, including 14 points for JJ Quinerly. The Sparks and Wings will meet twice over the next week and three times over the next three weeks.

Back With A Bang … After missing 18 games recovering from a knee injury, third-year forward Maddy Siegrist returned to the lineup on Aug. 5 and has been on fire. Over the last four games, Siegrist has averaged 14.8 points per game, shooting over 61-percent from the field. Siegrist matched her career high with 22 points in Tuesday’s win at the Indiana Fever, draining a career-best three triples. Prior to her injury, Siegrist was averaging 9.4 points per game while shooting .433 from the field.

Bueckers On Pace To Make History … Dallas Wings rookie guard Paige Bueckers is two assists shy of setting the franchise rookie record for assists in a season. Bueckers enters Friday’s contest with 141 dimes over 26 games played. Odyssey Sims currently has the record of 142 assists as a rookie set in 2014. Bueckers moved into the No. 3 slot on the franchise rookie points list with 479. She is 90 points behind Sims at No. 2, and 151 shy of Arike Ogunbowale at No. 1. With 11 games remaining, Bueckers would have to average about 14 points per game to claim the franchise rookie scoring record. Across all rookies in WNBA history, her assists currently rank 18th and points list 24th.
