WHAT HAPPENED

The Dallas Wings had its second practice of 2019 training camp today. This time at College Park Center on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington. The squad opened with 5-on-0 and shooting drills before moving to offensive sets and getting reps in specific shots inside each offensive set. Finishing up the day’s activities were 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 against the practice squad and intersquad 5-on-5.

WHAT WAS SAID

“I definitely feel a lot better than yesterday. We’re definitely improving. We’re looking great as a team and you see it. Everybody’s slowly getting going and doing things that they’re able to do. Coach Agler’s a great coach. He sees the potential in you and when he pushes you it’s a good thing because he knows you can be a great player.” – Allisha Gray

“Day two went pretty well. Same as day one, it went by pretty fast. We did kinda the same drills, some shooting drills, some defense, we added a little more defense, because we didn’t work on it as much yesterday, but defense is going to be a big part of our game, so I’m excited to learn more.” – Kennedy Burke

“I thought we went hard. I’m really pushing a few people and I like the way they’re responding. It’s all been receptive, and I know I’m challenging them, but I like how they’re responding and the progress we’re making. Every day presents something different, and we’ve thrown a lot at them – especially offensively – so tomorrow will focus on what we’ve already done and try to get better that way and keep building our defense.” – Head Coach Brian Agler
