Dallas Wings Announce 2018 Training Camp Roster

The Dallas Wings have announced their 2018 training camp roster as the team begins preparations for the upcoming season.

This year’s training camp roster includes three-time all-star guard Skylar Diggins-Smith, veterans Karima Christmas-Kelly, Glory Johnson and returning international standout, Liz Cambage. The roster also entails the entire Wings sophomore class with 2017 WNBA Rookie of the Year Allisha Gray headlining the group, as well as the 2018 draft class of Azurá Stevens, Loryn Goodwin and Natalie Butler. Aerial Powers, Theresa Plaisance, Kayla Thornton and Ruth Hamblin are also expected in camp.

“I’m very excited about our talented and well-balanced training camp roster,” said head coach Fred Williams. “Having Liz Cambage back with us should help our defensive schemes plus bring a more powerful structure offensively. Drafting three rookies that are pro ready should make this one of the best training camps ever for the Dallas Wings.”

The Wings look to start training camp on April 29, with an open practice that will be available to the general public to give fans a first look of this year’s squad and new draft class. The team will run camp for three weeks following April 29, with a two-day preseason event in Connecticut, and one home preseason game on May 13.

The Wings will finalize their opening night roster by May 17, prior to opening the regular season against the Phoenix Mercury in Phoenix on May 18. The team will open at home on May 20 against the Atlanta Dream. Tip-off is set for 2 pm CT, and will be part of the league’s #WNBAAllDay, where all 12 teams will be in action.
