Wings Trade for Mabrey

ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Wings have acquired Marina Mabrey from the Los Angeles Sparks in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft, the team announced today.

Mabrey averaged 4.0 points per game in 11.5 minutes played her rookie season, appearing in 31 games for the Sparks. She scored a career-high 14 points against Connecticut on June 6 and collected double-digit scoring figures on three more occasions throughout the season. She made at least one three-pointer in 14 games, hitting on multiple shot from three-point range in six outings.

The 5-foot-11-inch guard currently plays for TTT Riga of the Latvian LSBL, averaging 20.4 points, 7.1 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game. She’s also averaged 15.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in eight Euroleague contests.

The Notre Dame product left South Bend having made the most threes in program history (274) and scored the eighth most points (1,896). Collegiate teammates with Wings’ guard Arike Ogunbowale, the duo appeared in two Final Fours and took home the 2018 NCAA Championship.
