The Dallas Wings (6-16) take on the Las Vegas Aces (14-7) Saturday, August 3 at College Park Center. Fans can tune in to Fox Sports Southwest Plus for the 7:00 p.m. tipoff.
In the Wings’ last triumph, rookies Arike Ogunbowale and Megan Gustafson scored 22 and 11 points, respectively. Ogunbowale is averaging 19.5 points against the Aces and Gustafson is averaging 9.0 points, the highest points per game the duo is averaging against any one opponent. The two rookies also set their career high points mark against Las Vegas, Ogunbowale dropping 25 on June 22 and Gustafson 11 on July 30.
Dallas will rely on third year guard Allisha Gray to help limit an explosive Aces offense. Gray grabbed a career high five steals against the Liberty and has collected 25 on the year, ranking her sixteenth in the league for steals. The third-year player is also averaging 1.5 steals against the Aces this season and her 14 steals at home (tenth most by a player playing at home) have helped the Wings hold opponents to a league-low 71.0 points per game at College Park Center.
The game will play host to Faith and Family night, featuring a post-game concert by Dove, Stellar and Grammy Award winner Fred Hammond, an Acme Block Party at 5 p.m. outside of Gate 4 and a Carter Bloodcare Blood Drive at College Park Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Blood drive participants will receive two tickets to the game and a t-shirt.
