Wings Sign Brooke McCarty-Williams

ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Wings have signed Brooke McCarty-Williams the team announced today. Per club policy, terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

A native of League City, Texas, McCarty-Williams was a four-year letter winner at the University of Texas at Austin and spent training camp with the Los Angeles Sparks prior to the 2018 WNBA season. She currently plays for Peli-Karhut of the Finnish Korisliiga, averaging 17.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and two steals per game.

“Brooke had a very good training camp last year and she is a player who impressed Coach Agler,” Wings President and CEO Greg Bibb stated. “We are going to have a very competitive training camp at the point guard position and Brooke is one of several players we will have vying for a roster spot. I’m excited to see her on the court when we begin in early May.”

In Austin, Brooke McCarty-Williams averaged 11.6 points per game and 3.0 assists per outing for her career, appearing in 139 games. She is the Longhorn’s 15th all-time leading scorer and 10th all-time assist leader, holds the fourth best three-point percentage (39.8 percent), made the second most three-pointers in UT history (245), started the seventh most games in program history (118) and played the fifth most games in Longhorn women’s basketball history.
