WNBA announces National Broadcast Schedule for ESPN platforms

Arlington, TX (March 8, 2023) – The Dallas Wings will be featured across the ESPN platforms four times during the 2023 WNBA season, the most during the regular season since the team’s move to Dallas in 2017.

The WNBA announced its full slate of national broadcasts across the ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 networks, which includes 25 contests during the regular season. Viewership was up 16 percent during the 2022 season, making it the most-viewed season for the league’s television partners in 14 years.

The schedule and timing of the Wings’ ABC games include (all times CT):

  • Saturday, May 20 vs. Atlanta Dream (Home Opener) at 12 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 11 at New York Liberty at 12 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 25 at Los Angeles Sparks at 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 2 vs. Washington Mystics at 2 p.m.

Last season, the Wings were a part of the most watched WNBA postseason game at the time since September 2, 2007, as their Game 2 against the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs saw 795,000 fans tuned into the game.

Additional time changes for the team will include (all times CT):

  • Saturday, June 17 vs. Seattle Storm moved from 7 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 22 at Minnesota moved from 8 p.m. to 7 p.m.

With the addition of All-Stars Diamond DeShields and Natasha Howard during the offseason, first-year Head Coach Latricia Trammell looks to extend the Wings’ run into the postseason in 2023.
