Las Vegas, Nevada (June 5, 2022) – The Dallas Wings (6-5) fell to the Las Vegas Aces (10-2), 84 – 78, at Michelob ULTRA Arena Sunday evening.
Dallas dominated on the boards, grabbing a season-high 50 rebounds, the most since 2018 and tied for the second most in franchise history. The rebounding effort was led by Kayla Thornton, who recorded a career-high 15 rebounds, and Satou Sabally, who recorded her second-straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Arike Ogunbowale also tied her career-high with seven rebounds.
In addition to her rebounding, Ogunbowale surpassed 20 points for the 55th time in her career, finishing with 21 points. Allisha Gray recorded her second 20-point game of the season, finishing with a team-high 24 points of her own, a season-high.
Dallas finally returns home for an eight game homestand, tied for the longest in WNBA history, starting with the Seattle Storm (5-5) on Friday, June 10, at 7:00 p.m. CT.
