The Dallas Wings (5-13) fell to the Los Angeles Sparks (10-7) 69-64 at Staples Center Thursday, July 18. The Wings were led by 14 points from Isabelle Harrison, her third highest point total this season, and 11 points from Allisha Gray, the eighth time Gray has scored 10 or more points this season.
The Wings led by as many as 16, including a 10-point lead at halftime, but the Sparks outscored Dallas 24-9 in the third quarter, putting Los Angles ahead late in the frame. Dallas was able to match LA’s 13-point total in the fourth quarter, and was able to get within two points twice, but a late push from the Sparks kept the Wings at bay.
Imani McGee-Stafford dropped in nine points, including the second made three of her career. Harrison had a season-high nine rebounds and played 32 minutes, the second most minutes she’s logged this season.
The Wings return home to take on the Phoenix Mercury (8-8) Saturday, July 20 at College Park Center. Fans can tune into watch the game on Fox Sports Southwest Plus at 7:00 pm.
