Arlington, Texas – The Dallas Wings (10-13) took down the Chicago Sky (11-11), 80 – 76, Tuesday night at Wintrust Arena.

Moriah Jefferson netted her fourth double-digit scoring performance of the season after hitting a clutch jumper to seal the game for the Wings at the 30.8 mark of the fourth quarter, finishing with 11 points and eight assists, which is a new season-high. The Wings’ scoring effort was led by Allisha Gray, who finished with 20 points, marking the second time she has scored at least 20 points this season. On the defensive end, as a team, the Wings only committed six personal fouls.

Dallas also dominated on the boards, finishing with 45 rebounds, the third time this season the team has recorded at least 45 rebounds. Every Wings starter got in on the action, as all five starters finished with at least five rebounds for the first time since July 7, 2019, also at the Sky. The Wings also took advantage of their 15 offensive rebounds, as they turned those into 17 second-chance points. The team also recorded 20 assists on 30 made field goals, led by Jefferson’s eight assists and followed by Marina Mabrey who finished with four assists off the bench.

With the win, the Wings also secured the tiebreaker over the Chicago Sky for the 2021 playoff race.

The Wings return home to battle the Indiana Fever, Friday, August 20, at 7 p.m. CT.
