Arlington, Texas (June 17, 2022) – The Dallas Wings (7-8) defeated the Phoenix Mercury (6-10), 93 – 88, at College Park Center, Friday night.
Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale became the fifth-fastest player in WNBA history to reach 2,000 points on a three at the 3:07 mark of the second quarter, finishing with 24 points, while also adding six assists. Teaira McCowan added 18 points of her own, a season-high, to surpass 1,000 career points. She also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, which also was a season-high, for her first double-double of the season. Five Wings players were in double-figures led Ogunbowale (24) and McCowan (18). Isabelle Harrison (16), Marina Mabrey (14) and Allisha Gray (12) also eclipsed the double-digit mark.
As a team, the Wings made 12 of their 25 three-point attempts, for a season-high 48 percent from beyond the arc.
