Wings Comeback to Beat Fever in OT, 95 – 91

Arlington, Texas (August 6, 2022) – The Dallas Wings (16-16) came back to beat the Indiana Fever (5-29), 95 – 91, at College Park Center in overtime, Saturday night.

Wings center Teaira McCowan became just the third player in Dallas Wings history to record five straight double-doubles as she tallied 17 points and grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds. Veteran forward Kayla Thornton led the team with a career-high tying 21 points, while Marina Mabrey (18), Allisha Gray (13), Arike Ogunbowale (12) and Isabelle Harrison (10) rounded out the scoring for Dallas, the first time the Wings have had six scorers in double-figures this season.

Dallas was down 41 – 21 at the 7:07 mark of the second quarter before coming back and beating the Fever, the first time in franchise history that the Wings have comeback from a 20-point deficit. As a team, they hit a season-high 34 free throws, and grabbed 10 steals.

Dallas stays home to face the New York Liberty (13 – 18) on Monday, August 8, at 7:00 p.m. CT on Bally Sports Southwest and NBA TV.
