Wings Battle Mystics in Nation’s Capital

The Dallas Wings (10-22) head to D.C. to take on the Washington Mystics (24-8) at Entertainment and Sports Arena Friday, September 6. Fans can live stream the game via Twitter starting at 6 p.m.

The Wings are led by Rookie of the Year candidate Arike Ogunbowale, who has scored 30 or more points in a WNBA rookie record three straight games, including a 30-point performance in the Wing’s last home game versus the Mystics. The Notre Dame product is now averaging 18.5 points per game this season, the third most in the WNBA, to go along with her 3.1 assists per game.

Ogunbowale has also opened the floor up for teammate and 2017 Rookie of the Year Allisha Gray who, since the beginning of August, has scored at least 10 points in all but two of the Wings’ 12 games. Gray’s scoring has come from a variety of areas on the floor, with 22 of her 30 three-pointers this season have fallen during this stretch.

The Mystics are led by one of just two players above Ogunbowale in points per game, 2013 Rookie of the Year and MVP candidate Elena Delle Donne, and are coming off a 93-77 victory over the Liberty.
