Week of January 18 Overseas Recap

Arike Ogunbowale-

Ogunbowale added to her double-digit scoring games total by dropping 13 in a 65-61 win over Izmit, adding two rebounds, two assists and a steal. In her second game of the week, the Irish Icon played limited minutes and dropped an efficient five points, sinking two of her three shots from beyond the arc and adding a free throw, but even after a down week Ogunbowale is still averaging 18.7 points per game since heading overseas.

Megan Gustafson-

While AZS Gorzow went 1-2 for the week, Gustafson has started to heat up. After scoring just 11 in a loss to KP Brno, the Iowa Idol tied her overseas high with 26 points, adding 13 rebounds for her sixth double-double overseas. She then followed that up by setting her overseas high with 28 points in a 97-76 win, grabbing 14 boards for her seventh double-double and her second back-to-back double-double overseas this season.

Katie Lou Samuelson-

Avenidas continues to roll, adding three more wins to move to 24-0 on the season. Samuelson started the week with a 25-point, 5 rebound performance in a 93-38 domination of Nadezhda O. before dropping her fourth straight 20-point game in a 79-70 win over Dynamo K, netting 27. In addition to the 60 points scored in three games last week, Samuelson added 13 rebounds, six steals, two assists and a block.

Satou Sabally-

Sabally and Fenerbache continued to win and are now 18-1 on the season. The German Great was able to grab five rebounds in just 14 minutes played en route to an 88-57 victory over Arka Gdynia, and she has now secured at least five rebounds in all nineteen of the games she has played overseas this season.

Tyasha Harris-

Harris continues to light up the scoreboard leading Kayseri to a 2-1 record on the week. She came one point short of her overseas record with a 28-point, eight assist, five rebound dance in an 86-72 win over Uni Gyor, then dropped a spectacular 35-point, 10 rebound double-double in a 106-82 dismantling of Prometey. The Gaminā€™ Gamecock recorded an incredible 78 points, 15 rebounds, 21 assists and four steals in her three games last week.

Astou Ndour-

Ndour continues to score in double-digits, extending her streak to five with a 17-point, nine rebound performance against Cegledi and a 20-point, 10 rebound double-double to lead Hatay over Sparta&K 77-72. It is the Spanish Sensationā€™s fourth double-double overseas this season, as well as her fourth game scoring 20 or more points.

Isabelle Harrison-

After suffering their first loss with Harrison, who netted 14 points to go along with four rebounds, against Sesto SG, Virtus Eirene bounced back led by the Terrific Tennessean with 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks. She is now averaging 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks since heading overseas.

Marina Mabrey-

After a brief break in action, Mabrey continued right where she left off with another double-digit scoring show. The Notre Dame alumna recorded her third double-double overseas with 16 points and 11 rebounds, adding seven assists and three steals as well.
