Week of January 11 Overseas Recap

Arike Ogunbowale-

After almost a month off, the walking bucket Ogunbowale returned with another double-digit scoring performance, dropping 23 on an efficient 7-13 from the field to lead Dynamo Kursk to an 86-62 win over Nadezhda. In addition to her scoring output, she added four assists, three steals and three rebounds, pushing her averages to 21.3 points, three rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

Megan Gustafson-

Gustafson and AZS Gorzow had another 1-1 week while the Iowa Idol racked up two more 20-point scoring performances.  She dropped her second highest scoring performance overseas with 26 on January 12 to go along with 13 rebounds, her fifth double-double, and followed that up with a 21-point, nine rebound performance at Sosnowiec to lead her team to a 100-89 victory.

Katie Lou Samuelson-

Samuelson her highest scoring performance overseas this season to guarantee that Perfumerias Avenidas would remain undefeated, beating Izmit 101-80 to push their record to 20-0. The Hellacious Husky drained an impressive 10 of 16 shots from the field to go along with five rebounds, an assist, and a steal. She also shot an incredible 75% from beyond the arc going 6 of 8 from downtown.

Satou Sabally-

Sabally and Fenerbache were able to push their impressive record to 17-1, with the Outstanding Oregonian grabbing double-digit boards for the sixth time overseas this season. With another double-digit rebounding performance, Sabally continues to quest for averaging a double-double, with 8.3 rebounds and 15.8 points per game.

Tyasha Harris-

Harris dropped two more 20-bombs to push her 20-point scoring streak to five, racking up 21 points in a 96-73 win over Adana Basket and a 28-point showcase in a 86-72 victory over Uni Gyor. The Spectacular South Carolina product did all this in just 23 shots, making 18 of them, and missing just two of her eight shots from deep. She also added her second overseas double-double with 10 assists against Adana.

Astou Ndour-

Ndour dropped two more double-digit scoring games last week to lead Hatay to a 2-0 week with a 112-56 victory over Canik Belediye and a 79-53 dismantling of Adana Basket. In addition to her points 31 points, she added 16 rebounds, two assists and a block. The Splendid Spaniard is now averaging 14.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Isabelle Harrison-

Harrison continued her double-digit scoring streak by racking up 14 points to go along with three rebounds, three assists and two blocks in an 88-54 victory over Sassari. The Voracious Volunteer has pushed Virtus Eirene to a seven game win streak since she returned from injury, averaging 13.7 points and five rebounds per game.
