The Flyover: Week of June 13, 2022

In a push to make her first WNBA All-Star team, Allisha Gray has stepped on the gas, reaching double-figures in seven-straight games and scoring 20 points or more twice.

In addition to averaging 18.7 points per game in that span, she has also averaged 5.4 rebounds, has grabbed five steals and swatted three shots.

Center Teaira McCowan is also starting to find her groove with the Wings, as she scored 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked two shots vs. Seattle on June 12.

“I stopped overthinking things and just went out there and played,” McCowan said. “I feel like most of the time, in the past games, I have overthought the game too much because I was new and didn’t want to mess up. But tonight, I just went out there and played. Coach always says play your minutes, and play your minutes hard, so that’s what I went out and did.”
