Evelyn Akhator has been named Dallas Wings Overseas Player of the Week for the week of October 17-23, after an outstanding performance with the Dynamo NR. The 22-year old forward had a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Spartak N. 83-71. She was also named Russia Basketball player of the week this past Monday for her this specific accomplishment on the court.
Currently, Akhator is ranked amongst the top in the league in points (6th: 15.0ppg) and rebounds (4th: 8.0 rpg), and is averaging 54.1% from the field. Up next for Evelyn and the Dynamo NR is UMMC Ekaterinburg. Their matchup is scheduled for October 28.
