Overseas Player of the Week, Nov 22-28; Kayla Thornton

Kayla Thornton has been named Dallas Wings Overseas Player of the Week for the week of November 22-28, after an outstanding performance this past week with team S-Birds out of South Korea.

Thornton played two games averaging 24.5 points per game with a total of 20 rebounds(10 rpg). Her best performance came against KEB Hanabank on Nov. 25 where she scored 29 points, with nine boards and two assists. She also shot 81% from the free throw line going 9-11. This is the third straight week, she has been named Dallas Wings overseas player of the week.

Currently, Thornton sits in the top five of the WKBL and leads the S-Birds in scoring, averaging 22.0 points per game, with just 10 games played. She also leads the team in 3-point field goals with a .452 percentage. Up next for Thornton and the S-Birds are the Blue Minx on Nov. 29, followed by team Winnus on Dec. 2.
