Saniya Chong has been named Dallas Wings Overseas Player of the Week for her outstanding performance the week of March 7-March 13. This is the fifth time she has been tabbed the award this overseas season.
In one game of play, Chong brought in 19 points, shooting, 50 percent from the field (5-10). The UCON grad also tabbed in five total rebounds, five assists and one steal.
With one game remaining in the season, Chong is currently ranking second overall for team Elitzur Maclaren Holon, averaging 19.9 points per game, with an 81.6 percentage behind the free throw line. For the Israeli league, she is ranked in the top five of leading scorers and third in assists.
Up next for Chong and team Elitzur Holon is team Ramat Hasharon. It will be their final game of the season before heading to the playoffs.
