March 15 Overseas Recap and EuroLeague Overseas Preview

Megan Gustafson-

Gustafson and Gorzow pushed through a busy week unscathed, winning 95-77 and 92-71 against Poznan on back-to-back days. The Iowa Icon was a vital part of her team’s success, scoring 55 points across the two games and grabbing 17 boards, including an incredible 37-point, eight-rebound performance, her most points in a single game overseas this season. In addition to scoring and rebounding, Gustafson added four assists, two blocks and a steal.

Arike Ogunbowale-

Ogunbowale put teams on notice that her mamba mentality is taking over after she scored 24 points for the second straight game despite Kursk falling to UMMC. The Irish Idol gets her chance at revenge over UMMC in the first round of the Euroleague Quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 17 at 8:00 a.m. CT! Bella Alarie-

Alarie and the Owls took their first loss of the season going into the Euroleauge Quarterfinals, a nail-biting 85-84 defeat to Valencia despite Alarie’s nine points and three rebounds in just her fourth game with the team. Perfumerias gets to put their only blemish behind them on Wednesday, March 17 when they take on UNI Girona in the Quarterfinals of Euroleague at 1 p.m. CT on FIBA’s Youtube Channel HERE.

Satou Sabally-

Fenerbache and Sabally got the week off to prepare for Galatasaray in their Euroleague Quarterfinals match on March 17 at 10 a.m. CT live on FIBA’s Youtube Channel HERE.

Marina Mabrey-

Mabrey continues to light up the scoreboard, netting her fifth 30-point scoring performance in a 93-77 victory over Holon on March 15th. The New Jersey native scored 33 to go along with her 12 rebounds and 13 assists for her first triple-double overseas this season.

Tyasha Harris-

Harris continues to remain a consistent presence for Kayseri, scoring 17 to go along with five rebounds and 10 assists for her third double-double overseas and 22 points, four rebounds and five assists in a Eurocup loss to Elazig.
