Arlington, TX (June 21, 2024) – Dallas Wings second-year forward Maddy Siegrist underwent successful surgery on her broken left index finger yesterday. Recovery is expected to take approximately eight weeks with an estimated return following the Olympic break.

Renowned hand specialist Dr. Michelle Carlson of New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery performed an open reduction and internal fixation procedure.

Siegrist suffered the injury in the first quarter of Monday night’s game at the Minnesota Lynx. She went on to score a team-high 17 points to go along with seven rebounds.

Siegrist is in the midst of a breakout season for the Wings, averaging 14.6 points and 4.2 rebounds while starting 11 of 13 games.
