Dallas Wings Sign Morgan Bertsch and Unique Thompson

Arlington, Texas (March 7, 2022) – The Dallas Wings have signed forward Morgan Bertsch and Unique Thompson to training camp contracts, the team announced today.

Bertsch is averaging 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game with Arka Gdynia in Poland and averaged 12.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in Euroleague competition. Bertsch was drafted by the Dallas Wings with the 29th overall pick in the 2019 WNBA draft. She spent four years at UC Davis, where she averaged 18.3 points and 5.2 rebounds, while shooting 46% from beyond the arc and 53% from the field. Most recently, she was signed by the Connecticut Sun to a training camp contract prior to the 2021 season.

Thompson averaged 17.6 points and 12.8 rebounds in her four years at Auburn, earning her 2021 Honorable Mention All-American and 2021 All-SEC Second Team honors. She currently plays overseas with Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje in Russia, where she has averaged 12.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in league play. Thompson was the 19th pick in the 2021 WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever.
