Dallas Wings Sign Kayla Thornton to Training Camp Contract

ARLINGTON, TX., – The Dallas Wings announced today that they have signed Kayla Thornton to a training camp contract.

Thornton, a 6-1 forward has played overseas since 2015, most recently with the KEB Hanabank Bucheon in South Korea. She averaged 14.9 points and 8.2 rebounds in 35 games, and was named Asia-Basket.com Korean WKBL honorable mention. She played in the WNBA in 2015 with the Washington Mystics for 10 games, where she averaged 2.2 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. The UTEP alum started her professional career in 2014, joining the Mystics for the pre-season before joining the Montaneras de Morovis in Puerto Rico.
