Dallas Wings Forward Azurá Stevens Named to 2018 WNBA All-Rookie Team

Arlington, TX – Dallas Wings rookie Azurá Stevens has been named to the 2018 WNBA All-Rookie Team. It was announced by the league today.

Stevens, a sixth overall selection in the 2018 WNBA Draft for the Wings completed her freshman campaign as one of the top rookies in the league, finishing in the top 10 amongst rookies in at least six categories (scoring average, rebounds, assists, field goal percentage, blocks and steals).

Overall, she averaged 8.9 points, 4.6 rebounds (third among rookies) and 1.15 blocks (second among rookies). She scored at least 12 points in every game of the Wings season-best five-game winning streak from July 3-12, highlighted by a career-high 26 points against the Fever on July 5.

Joining Stevens on this year’s WNBA All-Rookie squad are Washington Mystics guard Ariel Atkins, Chicago Sky guard Diamond DeShields, Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell and WNBA Rookie of the Year A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.
