Dallas Wings Celebración Latina presented by Hairitage on Sunday is Sold Out
Arlington, TX (Aug. 31, 2024) – The Dallas Wings announced their eighth sellout of the season today, as a capacity crowd is expected for Sunday’s annual Celebración Latina game against the Indiana Fever. Tipoff at College Park Center is slated for 3 p.m. CT, with the game airing on NBA TV and Bally Sports Southwest Extra. The day will feature a variety of activations and opportunities for fans as they gear up to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month.
Wings-Fever is the eighth sellout of the regular season and ninth of 2024, including the preseason game against Indiana. It also marks the second sellout in the last three home games for the Wings, who also had a full house for Tuesday’s win over the Las Vegas Aces.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to Sunday’s game as the plaza outside of College Park Center will feature food trucks and entertainment. La Michoacana Premium de Arlington, Magdalendas Food Truck and Snowy Churro will all have food for purchase, while DJ Amaris will provide musical entertainment, and Lowrider Girl 214 will have a car on display for photo opportunities.
The first 2,000 fans to enter CPC will receive a Celebración Latina-themed rally towel courtesy of the game’s presenting partner Hairitage. Once inside, fans will be greeted pregame by music from Mariachi Charros de Jalisco, while DJ Areal will be in-arena. Concourse exhibitions include Somas Tejas offering voter registration, Sour Grapes displaying art, Drafted offering Latina-themed poster making, and a floral wall designed by local Latina-owned business Dallas Blooms.
There will also be a variety of in-game recognitions throughout the contest, including Hispanic Women of North Texas (HWNT), which is a non-profit statewide organization which promotes the advancement of women in public, corporate, and civic life through education and personal and professional development. HWNT has 10 chapters unite to celebrate the positive image and values of our Hispanic heritage and empower women across the great State of Texas. The Dallas, Arlington, and Ft. Worth chapters will be represented on Sunday.
Latina AMP.ED Businesses will also be introduced to fans. Standing for Amplify, Educate, Diversify, the Dallas Wings Community Foundation (DWCF) will feature V12 Yoga, Mod Lab, Moonfire, and Urban Grill by Chef Lydia, with Chef Lydia Gonzalez being highlighted in-arena.
Halftime entertainment will be provided by Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico. Additionally, Celebración Latina -themed Wings merchandise will be available for purchase in-arena and online.
