The Dallas Wings announced today the team has signed guard Tiffany Bias to a seven-day contract. In order to make room for Bias, the Wings have waived guard Brianna Kiesel.
“Tiffany brings energy, speed and tenacity to our roster,” said General Manager Greg Bibb. “She has playoff experience and has won a WNBA Championship. We are excited to have her join our team and help us improve.”
Bias was selected by the Phoenix Mercury with the 17th overall pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft. While with the Mercury, she played in 32 regular season games and appeared in six WNBA playoff games, winning a WNBA Championship with the team in 2014.
The 5-7 guard played collegiately at Oklahoma State University. In her junior and senior campaigns, she received honorable mention All-America honors from the Associated Press. Bias scored 1,623 points, eighth on the school’s all-time list and recorded 295 steals, which ranks third in school history and ninth all-time in the Big 12 conference. Bias was a three-time All-Big 12 selection.
The Wichita, Kan. native will join the team this week as the Wings prepare for the remaining two games before the Olympic break. Dallas will host the Connecticut Sun this Wednesday, July 20 at College Park Center at 11:30 am and then take on Atlanta on the road on Friday, July 22.
Tickets are still available for Wednesday’s early tip. For tickets, call (817) 469-9464 or visit dallaswingsbasketball.com.
