Arlington, TX – The Dallas Wings return home to host the Connecticut Sun this afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off. Today’s game is the Wings Faith and Fellowship day, and will broadcasted on FSSW Plus.
The team won its third consecutive game against San Antonio, 81-69. It is the first time this season the team has won consecutive games. Skylar Diggins-Smith smashed a new season high of 30 points, going 7-for-12 behind the 3-point line. The seven 3-pointers made marks as a new franchise record. Theresa Plaisance’s 19 points gave her a new season high. She led the team for the night in rebounds with eight. Diggins-Smith and Plaisance combined for a total of 19 points in the fourth quarter to give the Wings the wing and take the series against San Antonio for the season, 3-0.
On their home court, the Wings are 3-4 with big wins over the Fever, Sparks and Stars. Against the Fever on 5/30 the Wings took their first win of the 2017 season at College Park Center 89-62. It was the Wings largest margin of victory of 27 points with an 89-62 win. Karima Christmas-Kelly led the team tonight in points, breaking a career and season high with 27. She scored 19 points in the first-half to break the high. Christmas-Kelly went 10-for-14 from the field. It was also the third straight game this season she has scored double figured. The 10 field goals made also marked as a career high. At home, the Wings are averaging 87.0 points per game.
Skylar Diggins-Smith recorded a franchise record in 3-point field goals made Friday night against the Stars. She went 7-for-12 from the arc, smashing a career high. The most Diggins-Smith has recorded in a game was three, which occurred 10 times in her career. The 12 attempts also mark as a career high. The last time Diggins-Smith broke a career high behind the 3-point arc was last season on 9/4/16 against Washington at home with three shots made and five attempted.

Skylar Diggins-Smith recorded her first 30-point game of the season on 6/23 leading the Wings to their seventh victory of the season. The last 30-point game she recorded was on 6/28/15, when she scored 31 points against Seattle. The 30 points scored is four points shy of her career high which also took place against San Antonio on 7/22/14.
