Wings Hit the Road to Face Sparks

Arlington, TX – The Dallas Wings head west this afternoon as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Sparks tomorrow night. Tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m. CT on ESPN2. Tuesday’s match-up will mark as the second time the Wings and Sparks will meet. Last Friday, the two teams dueled it out on the court at College Park Center, with the Wings taking the win, 96-90.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE SPARKS
Last Friday in an exciting contest, the Wings came back from a 12-point deficit, to defeat the Sparks 96-90. After being down in the first quarter, the Wings went on a 12-0 run, the biggest comeback run for the season to put themselves up against the Sparks. Glory Johnson led the team in their comeback, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter alone to lift the Wings up and record her third double-double of the season with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

GLORY’S GLORIOUS
Glory Johnson has had a stellar 10 games. In the three-game home series this past week, she recorded 51 points, averaging 17.0 points per game, and 9.3 rebounds. Last Friday she broke three season highs in points (24), field goals made (11) and minutes played (36). Johnson currently leads the team in total boards averaging 9.0 per game.

ROOKIE SPOTLIGHT
Saniya Chong broke a season high in scoring against Minnesota this past Sunday. She scored 10 points, beating a season high. Chong currently leads all rookie leaders in steals, averaging 1.1 per game. She also is ranked in the top five in three other categories, (assists, blocks and free throw percentage).
