Wings Head East to Face the Mystics

Arlington, TX – The Wings will head east for a one road game trip to face the Washington Mystics for an afternoon showdown. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT on NBA-TV.

ON THE ROAD
Overall the team is 2-4, with wins in Phoenix on 5/14 and San Antonio on 5/25.

In the six games played, the team is averaging 81.3 points per game, with an average of 21.4 points coming off the free throw line.

Glory Johnson has had stellar board performances on the road. Overall she is averaging 9.1 rebounds per game.  

AGAINST THE EAST
The Wings are currently 1-4 against eastern conference opponents this season. The biggest was against the Indiana Fever at College Park Center. It was the Wings largest margin of victory of 27 points with an 89-62 win. Karima Christmas-Kelly led the team tonight in points, breaking a career and season high with 27. She scored 19 points in the first-half to break the high. Christmas-Kelly went 10-for-14 from the field. It was also the third straight game this season she has scored double figured. The 10 field goals made also marked as a career high.

AMONGST LEADERS
Offensively, the Wings remain as the third in the league in points per game. In 12 games the team has accumulated 1016 points overall, with an average of 84.7 points per game.

The Wings scored 55 points in the second half and 96 points overall to defeat the Sparks on 6/9. It was the most points scored in a half and game by the team this season. Glory Johnson recorded 10 of those points alone in the fourth quarter, to lead the team to a comeback victory.

The team is also ranked in the top 10 in field goal percentage. Currently the team is shooting at a .422 percentage from the field.
