Glory Johnson’s 27 Points Lifts Wings Over the Mystics

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Glory Johnson had a stellar performance this afternoon lifting the Wings over the Mystics on the road 87-83.

Johnson led the way recording 27 points, a new season high. In the third quarter, Johnson scored 17 unanswered points to pull the Wings within four. The 17 points is the most points scored in a quarter by any player.

Throughout most of the game, the Wings were down, until Johnson along with Theresa Plaisance and Skylar Diggins-Smith turned it up in the second half.

In the fourth quarter, Plaisance and Diggins-Smith combined for a total of 15 points, to give the Wings the edge in the final minutes of play, scoring a pair of 3-point shots each.

Overall the team dished a high a season of 18 assists, shooting 41.2% from the field.
