The Wings continued day three of training camp, as they prepare for the 2018 season.
A couple notable players were not in attendance. Liz Cambage and Kaela Davis are fulfilling overseas obligations and will report to camp as soon as those are finished. The remainder of the squad was in camp today, which allowed the team to get familiar with playing together.
“We are finally starting to get to know each other a little bit,” said Kayla Thornton. “I’m excited to compete and figure out more about each other as a team. I think it just takes a little time and patience.”
With two weeks and three preseason games standing between the Wings and the regular season, they look to get up to game speed as soon as possible.
The Wings will tip-off their preseason in Connecticut on May 7, with the regular season beginning in Phoenix on May 18. The regular season home opener is scheduled for May 20.
