The Wings returned from a two-game road trip to Connecticut and continued with day 12 of training camp. After defeating the New York Liberty, 76-69, and falling to the Connecticut Sun, 79-58, the team recognizes its strengths and looks to continue building.
“I am excited about our size,” said Kaela Davis. “I think last year we had average height. Having size this year gives us a ton of different options. We learned a lot from the games. We are going to work on those over the next couple of days and get ready for Sunday.”
The Wings play their last preseason game at 2 p.m. CT at home on Sunday, May 13 against the Las Vegas Aces. The regular season begins May 18 in Phoenix, with the home opener scheduled for May 20 at 2 p.m. CT against the Atlanta Dream.
