Kayla Thornton has been named Dallas Wings Overseas Player of the Week for her outstanding performance the week of Feb. 7-Feb. 13. This is the fifth time she has been tabbed the award this overseas season.
Thornton played two games this past week, accumulating a total of 31 points and eight rebounds.
Her best performance of the week came this past Monday, where she recorded 16 points and six boards, shooting a 1.000 percentage from the free throw line.
Overall, Thornton remains as one of the top three players in the WKBL, averaging 17.7 points per game and 1.93 steals per game. She and the S-Birds return to action on Saturday, Feb 18, when they go up against KEB Hanabank. They currently hold a 16-14 record with five games remaining in the season.
