We caught up with new Dallas Wings guard Tiffany Bias after practice and got to know a little about her.
When did you start playing basketball?
I started playing basketball when I was five years old.
Who are your favorite basketball players?
Chris Paul is my favorite point guard. In the WNBA, I know she is currently playing but Diana Taurasi is a legend to me. I always watched her growing up.
As a child, what did you want to be growing up?
I always knew I wanted to be in the WNBA. That was my dream.
Did you play other sports growing up? What’s your favorite sport besides basketball?
I played volleyball and I ran track. I guess since I was good at track, you could say track but basketball is always my favorite!
What is your favorite basketball memory?
Recently, it would be winning the WNBA championship (with the Phoenix Mercury) during my rookie year, but I had a lot of good memories from college while fighting through adversity.
Why did you pick to attend Oklahoma State?
I fell in love with the coaches and the facilities. It had a ‘home’ feeling, plus it was close to my real home (Wichita, Kansas).
Besides OSU’s Gallagher-Iba Arena, what was your favorite arena to play at in college?
Allen Fieldhouse (University of Kansas)
Who has been the most influential person in your basketball career?
My father, Francis.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I love to cook! I watch cooking shows all the time, especially when I am in the kitchen.
Favorite Food? Mexican or Asian. I love quesadillas.
Favorite Vacation Spot? The Bahamas
