Recap: Dallas Wings 71 – New York Liberty 79

Courtney Paris hit her first double-double for the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds, as the Dallas Wings fell to the New York Liberty 71-79.

The Wings are 1-1 for the season and will take on the Washington Mystics in D.C., Wednesday May 18.

Four Wings scored double figures. Odyssey Sims and Theresa Plaisance both scored 14 points, assisting in decreasing the deficit the Liberty had in the first half of the game.

After being down by seven in the first half, the Wings game back and tied the game, when Sims hit two three point shots within two minutes of each other in the third quarter, tying the game at 43 all.

Late in the fourth the Wings came back strong cutting the Liberty to 8, with 1:11 left in the game. Sims hit back-to-back free throws to bring the Wings within 11, followed by a three shot by Karima Christmas.

Dallas will finish out their road trip, when they take on the Mystics in Washington, D.C. Tip off time is set for 6 pm CT.
