ARLINGTON, TX – Tomorrow night, the Dallas Wings will end preseason play when they take on the Indiana Fever inside College Park Center at 7 p.m.
This is the second season that the Wings and Fever face each other during preseason action. In last year’s opening preseason game, the Wings fell to the Fever 108-90 inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse. 2016 WNBA All-Rookie Team member Aerial Powers made her debut on the court, leading the way with 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
The Wings are currently 0-1 this year in the preseason. On April 29, the team traveled to face the San Antonio Stars in their first preseason game. Rookie standouts Allisha Gray and Kaela Davis dominated the court, leading the team in points. Gray led the way recording 15 points, going 8-for-8 behind the line, while Davis brought in 13 points, and was one of six Wings players who recorded six boards.
Veterans Erin Phillips and Karima Christmas-Kelly were in true leadership form, against the Stars, as Phillips led the team in assists with four, while Christmas-Kelly scored nine points.
The Wings will wrap up training camp next week, and will finalize their roster of 12 by May 12. The team will then head to Phoenix to start the 2017 season against the Mercury on May 14.
