The last time these two teams met was in Tulsa on June 26, 2015.
Karima Christmas hit a 3-pointer with 1:02 to play, pulling Tulsa (10-8) within 70-67, but Meesseman answered with a layup and Kara Lawson had a steal and hit two free throws to give the Mystics a seven-point lead with 21 seconds left.
Christmas led Tulsa with 15 points while Plenette Pierson scored 14 and Odyssey Sims added 11. Courtney Paris tied a career-high with 19 rebounds.
O Is For Offense
Guard Odyssey Sims scored 14 points against the New York Liberty this past Sunday. Sims, scored six of her 14 points in the third quarter, hitting two three-point shots within two minutes of the quarter. With the six, the Wings tied up the game. The former Baylor Bear currently leads the team in points per game, with an average of 14. She is also averaging 2.5 assists per game.
GREAT RUN
The Wings took off with a great start to the season against Indiana to open up the season Saturday night. Dallas took over the second half outscoring the Fever 46-32, to take the win 90-79. The biggest lead the Wings had was 11 in the fourth quarter against the Fever. Late in the first quarter, the team went on a 10-0 run to trim down the Fever’s lead by three, after being down by 13 earlier in the quarter. With the great run, the Wings took demand to get their first win of the season.
