Diggins-Smith’s 23 Points Not Enough Against Mystics

Arlington, TX – Skylar Diggins-Smith hit a season high tonight of 23 points, as the Wings couldn’t hold on to the Mystics, falling 101-89 at home. Diggins-Smith went 9-for-9 behind the line and led the team in assists with seven.

Glory Johnson and Theresa Plaisance asserted themselves in the paint often and offensively, ending the night with 19 (Johnson) and 13 (Plaisance) points. Along with the Diggins-Smith, they shot perfectly behind the line going 5-for-5 (Johnson) and 2-for-2 (Plaisance)They also both recorded eight rebounds for the night, leading the team in boards.

Allisha Gray ended the night with double figures scoring 12 points. The WNBA Rookie of the Month went 8-for-10 from the line, recording seven total rebounds.
