San Antonio, TX- Skylar Diggins-Smith had a monstrous game, scoring 30 points to lead the Wings to their third consecutive win for the season over the Stars 81-69.
Diggins-Smith went 7-for-11 behind the arc, recording a season high from downtown. The 5-9 guard shot over 50% from the field for the second time this season, going 10-for-18 to record the high. Theresa Plaisance also had a season breaking game, ending the night with 19 points, and led the team in rebounds with a total of eight.
The Wings came out strong in the first quarter, going on a 7-0 run and led throughout most of the game, with their biggest lead of 12 points.
Coming in out of the half, San Antonio came up from behind to go up by one in the third quarter, but the Wings had a different answer, when Plaisance was sent to the line to put the Wings up by one 45-44.
In the fourth quarter, the Stars came back and took the lead going up by four, until Plaisance and Diggins-Smith turned it up scoring 19 points in the final minutes to bring the Wings back up and seal the win.
