Dallas Wings Gear Up for Preseason

The Dallas Wings are in full swing this training camp as they set their sights for preseason game number one. The team practiced early this morning, before flying out to Indianapolis, as they get a glimpse of the team they will face in the regular season opener, the Indiana Fever.

The Wings focus all week has been to execute. All week the team has been executing fast paced drills and the up tempo game that Head Coach Fred Williams has put together.

“I think this week has gone very well”, said Coach Williams. “Everyone is focused and playing at a high level of energy. Players are starting to separate their skill level from others. It’s going to be a tough decision in the next weeks to select twelve players’.”

With a successful camp and the high level of energy this team has sustained all week, they take that momentum against the Fever. Last season, the Wings went 2-0 in preseason action, setting the pace for their 18-16 2015 campaign. This season, the team looks to set the pace and go beyond to where they left last season.

After Sunday’s game, the Wings head back to Arlington for week two of training camp. Coach Williams and his team will end their preseason schedule next Sunday, May 8 against the Connecticut Sun at College Park Center. Tip-off is set for 1:30 CT.
