Cambage and George Help Opals Soar Into Semi-Finals

With a dominating win over China, the Opals will look to take on the winner of Canada vs. Spain in tomorrow night’s Semi-Final. This will be their run at a fifth medal at the past 6 World Cup Tournaments, taking him bronze medals in 1998, 2002 and 2014 and a gold medal in 2006.

Liz Cambage (20 points, nine rebounds, two steals, three blocks) made two huge blocks in the first two minutes to set the tone for the game.

She combined with Bec Allen to score Australia’s first 16 points.

Cayla George (three points, four rebounds) chimed in from long range, Katie Ebzery (three points, three assists) connected on a three-point play and Alex Bunton asserted herself down low as the Opals’ machine powered on.
